SHORAI Curve is Toshiba's mainstream wall-mounted range. It is offered in black as well as white, has Wi-Fi built into the indoor unit, carries Toshiba's Ultra-Pure filtration, and shapes its airflow to avoid blowing straight at people.

What to weigh up

- That 19 dB(A) is the two smallest units' figure; from 4.6 kW upwards they are louder, and Toshiba publish no figure for the 6.1 kW model.

If you are looking at Toshiba, start here. Only three ranges in this catalogue have a confirmed finish other than white, and this is the one that offers black across every capacity — which makes it a useful option where a white indoor unit would not suit the room. Everything else about it is sound: Wi-Fi in the indoor unit, 19 dB(A) on the two smallest models, and a named filter with a published PM2.5 figure rather than a plain mesh.
