How We Approach Installation
Installations Designed Around Your Space
Every installation starts with understanding how a space is used. From system design through to final commissioning, we take a considered approach so equipment is sized correctly and finished neatly, whether it’s a single room in Ashton-under-Lyne or a multi-unit commercial site elsewhere in North West England.
- Domestic and commercial system design
- Room-by-room assessment
- Equipment selection
- Indoor and outdoor unit positioning
- Neat pipework and containment
- Testing and commissioning
- Customer handover and controls guidance
- Maintenance options after installation

On the Day
What Happens, and How Long It Takes
Most domestic single-room air-conditioning systems are completed within one working day. That day covers the installation itself, pressure testing the pipework for leaks, removing air and moisture from it before the system is released, commissioning, and a demonstration of the controls before we leave.
Multi-room systems, and installations where the pipework has a longer or more complicated route, take longer. So can jobs needing access equipment or work in ceilings and voids. We will tell you the expected timescale in the quotation, before any work begins, rather than on the morning we arrive — and if something we find on site changes it, we will say so before carrying on.
- Pressure testing
- The pipework is tested for leaks before the system is put into service.
- Removing air and moisture
- Air and moisture are drawn out of the refrigerant pipework — the trade word is evacuation, or vacuuming — because anything left in there shortens the life of the system.
- Commissioning
- The final testing and setting-up that confirms the system is installed correctly, running correctly and configured for the room. It is also what most manufacturer warranties depend on.
