Air Conditioning Fault Diagnosis & Repairs

Professional fault diagnosis and repair support for domestic and commercial air conditioning systems.

How We Approach Repairs

Finding the Fault, Explaining the Options

When a system isn’t performing as it should, we investigate the fault methodically, explain what we find in plain terms, and set out the options for repair. Where a repair isn’t economical, we’ll advise on replacement instead, for homes and businesses across North West England.

  • System fault investigation
  • Error code assessment
  • Electrical and controls checks
  • Condensate and drainage faults
  • Refrigerant-related diagnosis
  • Component testing
  • Repair recommendations
  • Replacement advice where repair is not economical

Symptoms

What Is Your System Doing?

You do not need to diagnose the fault yourself — describing the symptom is enough for us to know what to bring. These are the ones we are called out to most often.

Before You Call

What to Have Ready

None of this is essential — tell us what you can. But the more of it we have up front, the better the chance the right part is on the van the first time, which is usually the difference between one visit and two.

Make and model
Usually on a label on the indoor unit, or on the outdoor unit's data plate. A photo is easier than transcribing it.
Any fault code
Photograph the controller display before clearing the code — it is often the single most useful thing you can send.
Photos
The indoor unit, the outdoor unit and anything visibly wrong. Water, ice and damage all show up clearly in a photo.
Does it power on at all?
A system with no power is a different visit from one that runs but underperforms.
Where the equipment is
Full address and postcode, and roughly where in the building the indoor and outdoor units sit.
Access restrictions
Scaffolding or roof access, a flat roof, gated parking, key holders, security passes, or hours we are not allowed on site.
