Perfera (wall mounted)

Perfera is Daikin's high-efficiency wall-mounted range. It is controlled from Daikin's Onecta app, and a two-area motion sensor tracks which parts of the room are occupied. For a main living room or a home office that gets used all day, it is usually the right balance of running cost and capability.

Why we fit it

• More efficient than the Comfora and Sensira ranges beneath it, in both heating and cooling.
• Runs from Daikin's Onecta app, so it can be set from a phone and warmed up before you get home.
• A two-area motion detection sensor, so the unit responds to where people actually are in the room.
• Multi-layer filtration, including Daikin's silver particle and titanium apatite filters.
• A night mode, intended to run the unit more gently overnight.

What to weigh up

• What this range adds over Comfora is efficiency and app control rather than extra output — Comfora reaches the same 7.1 kW.
• The front panel is understated rather than decorative — Emura and Stylish are the design-led ranges.
• Daikin publish no sound level for this range that we could confirm. If quiet is the deciding factor, ask us before you commit — or look at Stylish, which does publish a figure.

Our engineer’s view

Of the Daikin ranges, this is the one we would suggest for a room that is in use every day, and efficiency is the reason: it is well clear of Comfora and Sensira in both heating and cooling, which counts for most in a room that runs all winter. The motion sensor earns its place where people come and go. Where the unit has to look like a piece of furniture, Emura or Stylish are the better fit.
